You've probably seen those little mollusk shells that burrow into the sand when the waves come in. Well, I collected a couple on the beach a while back, unable to help myself. And yes, I knew they weren't going to smell that good after a while. But I think sitting in a hot car for two days once we entered Charleston was what did them in. XD So, when we got home, I drenched them in water--and Glade scented spray. Their shells then opened seemingly by themselves, so I cleaned out the inside parts and now they're these beautiful butterfly-shaped shells.
If you're some animal rights extremist that I don't know who wants to tell me how horrible I am for doing this, do NOT even bother commenting on this, because it will probably do you more harm than good. Besides, it isn't as if these little mollusks are going into extinction any time soon, and I am a true lover of animals. So please, watch who you intimidate. (This does not effect my friends/watchers.)
